Tranquility

The design concept 'Tranquility' focuses on the notion of "escapism and demonstrates the current need for seeking a healing and calming lifestyle" (Nathan+Jac, 2022). Represented through a seasonal winter narrative. This notion of escapism has arisen due to worldly issues such as "covid-19 which has given people a chance to reevaluate their current lifestyles and replace it for more simplistic and mindful way of living" (Philiip Fimmano, 2023). These worldly issues have created a reaction within society to switch out the hustle of life for a country side lifestyle. With this shift in society people are seeking things such as a quiet place for themselves to reflect, meditate, retreat and enjoy mindful crafts. Through the concept 'Tranquility' explores these notions and ideals of finding peace within the present.
